Logistics in Wallonia
Bernard Piette was born in 1967. Since May 2007, he is the General Manager of Logistics in Wallonia, the Competitive Cluster for Logistics and Mobility in Wallonia (Belgium). Logistics in Wallonia is one of the six clusters recognized by the Walloon authorities in the framework of an ambitious economic and industrial development. These clusters are meeting and collaboration platforms for all the actors of the sector : logistic service providers, shippers, universities, research and training organisations. The aim is to encourage these actors to set up collaborative projects funded by the Walloon Region under certain condition and also to promote the region abroad. On a personal level, Bernard Piette has an experience of more than 30 years in supporting businesses internationally first in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Liege and at the Chamber of Commerce of Maastricht. Since the beginning of the year 2012, he is also Honorary Consul General of the Netherlands for the provinces of Liège, Namur and Luxemburg. In 2019, he has been elected Chairman of the Consular Association of the province of Liège.
